Quote, unquote.

I like quotations. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook you know that I post quotes quite a bit. I always have loved quotes. I used to underline all the quotes I loved in books and would write them on notebook paper. Now I have a small Moleskin that I write quotes in. I think I’m on my third one now.

I like to learn from the wisdom of others. I like that someone smarter than I, said something I wanted to say in a much more concise and intelligent way. Currently I have this quote on a sticky note on my computer screen: 

It is God’s job to judge

The Spirit’s job to convict

And my job to love.

Today, I will live by this quote:

The only thing to do with good advice is pass it on. It is never any use to oneself.

- Oscar Wilde

and forward you a quote from Gandhi. I am not usually one to dwell upon Gandhi quotes, but this one has been bouncing around in my head for weeks now. I have found that every line is filled with truth.

The Roots of Violence:

Worship without sacrifice,

That is so well said and poignant. But what does this have to do with music, artists or marketing? Nothing. But I thought these were good words and wanted to pass them along.

Even if you only think about one line, think about what it means to “Worship without sacrifice,” that will be enough.

And, as Oscar Wilde said, feel free to pass it on.
