Centricity Staff Favorite Apps

Posted July 26, 2011 by in Marketing

Apps have become powerful tools in our everyday lives. In some cases I am not sure what I ever did without them – others run that fine line between a blessing and a curse. I have compiled some of the apps many of us at Centricity use in our daily lives. Give some a try and let us know how they work for you. If there are some you would recommend, we’d love to hear from you. And if you have some you have tried that would save others from the pain you have endured, share those as well!

Voted #1 would be Tripit – if any of you travel being able to see all your travel info (flights, hotels, directions, etc) in one place is a tremendous time and life saver.
Genius Scan is what we have our artists use to send in Sound Scan forms from the road. No more need to find that fax machine.
Dropbox – online storage and file sharing which you can access from all devices with a wifi connection.
Say it Mail it – speak into your phone and it emails a voice recording to you. Much better than typing and driving
Square – allows you to use your phone to accept credit cards
Holy Bible by YouVersion – online as well as downloadable versions of the bible – hundreds of translations and languages, daily bible reading plans,  cross -references -  some churches even post the pastors notes on the online version

Others to check out:
Mint for budgeting & keeping track of financial info
Things and Wunderlist -making lists and prioritizing
Swackett  and The Weather Channel -  weather
ESPN radio – self explanatory
Accuradio, Spotify and Rdio- music streaming
One Password-One password to rule them all. No longer worried about someone fishing or hacking one of my accounts. Synched across everything
Evernote – an easy way to collect any scrap of digital information you might ever need, and organized in a simple way, synched across all devices.
Pictureshow – great alternative to Hipstamatic. Perfect for photo tweaking
Key Ring- Keeps customer loyalty cards in one place on my phone with the bar code on the phone for easy scanning
Hey Tell- turns your phone into a quasi walkie talkie to leave a message
Pulse – aggregates magazines, newpapers, blogs, etc in one place to quickly check what is going on in the world
Top 100s By Year by Bing – This starts with the year 1947 and goes through today.
