New Year Marks Two Staff Promotions

Posted January 21, 2014 by in News

Nashville, TN (January 13, 2013) —– Centricity Music is happy to announce the promotion of two key staff members this month. Ben Stauffer has been promoted from Finance Director to Vice President of Finance, and Kris Love from Director of Radio Promotions to Senior Director of National Promotions.  Stauffer will take on an expanded role of the financial duties for Centricity Music and Centricity Publishing, while Love will now oversee all activities in the radio department including tracking, promotions, radio visits and promotional tours. Stauffer will continue to report to General Manager, Caren Seidle and Love to Steve Ford, Vice President of Marketing.

“When Ben started working with us as a fellow from Lipscomb, we were wondering if we were big enough to have our own finance department,” says Seidle.  “In that year he showed us how important it was to have someone in the Franklin office overseeing the finances. When he left for a position with Flood, Bumstead, McCready, and McCarthy, we felt his absence and counted the days till we could bring him back. I am so grateful for his passion for his work and his desire to build Centricity. And to find a money guy who loves music as much as the creative staff was a bonus.  I look forward to the many years ahead.”

“Every once in a while you meet someone who is living in their occupational sweet spot,” says Ford, “the place where their passion and skill set collide.” “I feel like Kris is in that spot with radio promotion. His love for our music and for Christian radio is contagious. His experience at radio, strategic thinking and leadership has been an incredible asset to Centricity Music. We are grateful he is a part of this team and excited about where his leadership at radio will continue to take us.”

About Ben Stauffer

A Pittsburgh, PA native, Stauffer moved to Nashville in 2010 to pursue his dream of a career in the music business. He joined Centricity Music at that time through the Lipscomb University MBA Fellowship program, working on various business improvement projects while completing his graduate degree at night. After a brief stint performing business management duties at the highly respected firm of Flood, Bumstead, McCready, and McCarthy, Stauffer re-joined the Centricity team initially as Finance Director.  Ben spends his free time visiting Nashville’s rock clubs, watching his beloved Steelers and Notre Dame football teams, and reading.

About Kris Love

Love hails from Knoxville, TN and graduated with a Broadcasting degree from the University of Tennessee.  Love began his music career in Christian Retail in Knoxville for four years, before working at AC and CHR radio stations in the city.  In 2010, Love moved to Nashville, TN and for two years became one of the top independent radio promoters before becoming the Director of Radio Promotion for Centricity Music.  Love lives in Franklin with his wife Amanda, his 6-month-old son Garrett, and his Golden Retriever Lady.
